The German pack starts at 150 real words, chosen the same way the English tiers are: words a child can actually sound out and use, paired with their own short decodable stories built only from words already introduced. It is honestly scoped as a starter pack. It does not yet match the seven-tier, 1,347-word depth of the English track, and we would rather say that plainly than oversell it.
What makes it useful for a family raising a child with German at home, whether that is a grandparent's language, a school requirement, or simply a language a family wants to give a child early, is that it sits inside the same reading-and-spelling game your child already knows how to play. There is nothing new to learn about the app itself, just a new language inside it.
Every kid profile tracks German's level completely separately from English, and from Russian, if a family plays that too. Starting German never resets, slows down, or interferes with the tiers your child has already reached in English.
